KEY ISSUES + AREAS OF FOCUS

Fight for our Families

The next generation is under attack! Each day students in our district are being brainwashed by Critical Theory and Critical Race Theory, where they are taught that their identity and value are based upon the color of their skin rather than their character! In addition, our children are being robbed of their innocence through sexually explicit content that is being distributed in their classrooms as well as their libraries. Not on my watch! As a former college adjunct professor, public school mentor, and football coach, educating the next generation is near and dear to my heart. It’s time to outlaw the sexualization of our children! It’s time to outlaw racist ideologies that seek to divide our children, not unify them. It’s time to teach our children to love America, not hate it! It’s time to fight for our kids!

Additionally, if we’re going to fight for our families, we have to fight for their ability to create wealth as well. Currently, Tarrant County has an average property tax rate of 2.1%. That’s the 5th highest property tax rate in the state of Texas. We must do everything we can to lower property taxes so that the families of district 93 can live prosperous lives.

defend the voiceless

In 2020, 56,358 babies were aborted in the state of Texas alone. Additionally, 29,425 babies were aborted between January and June of 2021. After the Texas Heartbeat Bill passed, abortions in Texas dropped 50% between August and September. While this is a great victory, it’s still not enough! I vow to take a stand for the unborn! It’s time to pass legislation that effectively outlaws abortion at any stage of pregnancy, but we can’t stop there. We need to bring reformation to our foster care system, and support local organizations that are actively rehabilitating and resourcing broken and struggling families. We must defend those that have no voice!

Additionally, there are more than 300,000 victims of human trafficking in Texas, including almost 79,000 minors and youth victims of sex trafficking and nearly 234,000 adult victims of labor trafficking. As operations director of The Justice Reform, an anti-human trafficking organization in Fort Worth, we are in this fight, and we plan to open the first 100 bed facility to rehabilitate victims back into society. It’s time for Texas to take a stand by supporting local organizations that are actively rescuing victims, and developing strategies to support law enforcement in their efforts to expose the darkness of human trafficking. We must speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves!

Secure the border

Between September 2020 and September 2021, it’s estimated that almost 2 million people entered the United States illegally, many of them coming through the southern border. This is an invasion that must be stopped. As a result, law-abiding taxpayers will be forced to spend billions of dollars each year on housing, schooling, and medical care for illegal aliens. I believe that everyone should have the chance at a better life, but without proper systems and processes, we run the risk of allowing drug and human traffickers, terrorists, and violent criminals to invade our neighborhoods.

It’s time for Texas to step up and stop waiting for the federal government to do the work for us. We must finish the wall, deploy more law enforcement to secure the border, and end taxpayer subsidies to illegal immigrants.

stand for our liberties

I believe the United States of America is the greatest nation to ever exist. We are a nation that is founded upon liberty and justice for all, and over the last year, there has been a direct attack on our personal liberties. We must eliminate any law or mandate that seeks to require proof of vaccination or the wearing of a mask in order to maintain employment, go to school, or attend an event.

As a devoted Christian and former pastor, the government should never get to decide when, where, or how we gather in corporate worship! It’s time to stand up against tyrannical government! It’s time to fight for our personal liberties and freedoms. As the great Benjamin Franklin said, “It’s a republic… if you can keep it!”
